Voodoo Night w/Urban Voodoo Machine & Spring BreakMusic
9 November 23:00 - 10 November 04:00
VOODOO NIGHT launches on Friday November 9th at Ironworks, Inverness!
Your chance to go Tribal and experience Voodoo magic with live entertainment from:
The Urban Voodoo Machine formed in 2002 they play ‘Bourbon Soaked Gypsy Blues Bop’n’Stroll’. They dress in black and red. There are a LOT of them and their music sounds like a great night out in a dangerous part of town. From the get-go, The UVM fuse junkyard blues and stinging rockabilly with mariachi horns, fiddles, sinister cabaret and punk rock!
“Yeah-yeah-yeah,” you’re thinking, “but can they cut it live?” Well, there’s a reason why they’ve played Glastonbury, Download, Belladrum Festival, Latitude, Bestival, Hard Rock Calling and toured with The Pogues and New York Dolls.
Spring Break a vaguely outrageous, psychedelic 3 piece folk funk outfit, hand crafting screwball anthems deep in the Highlands of Scotland. Amalgamating a wealth of experience in vocal performance and musicianship, whilst fusing the hip hop languages of scratching, beat-boxing and lucid lyricism with the foibles of apathy and the implied abuse of aquatic life.
The night also features a B2B DJ set from Butterscotch & Rosco Smith (Ready Steady Go
Go/Hot Jam) featuring Funk, Soul, Rockabilly and more!
